Wow, we are already 2 months into 2015 and what an amazing 2014 we have already had at Lords Church LA! We finished the final quarter of 2014 with a real BANG! The Thanksgiving dinner was one of the largest turn outs we have had in years. We are still the largest FREE Thanksgiving Dinner served in all of Bellflower. The Lords Church LA is always trying to impact our community for the good with a long and proven track record. At Christmas time we had our children’s Christmas Musical along with the drama called “Our Savior is born.” So for this Easter we have our Passion Drama called “Hope Arising” being performed on Easter Sunday at 10:30 AM. We absolutely cannot wait!
Our Current Message Series… It’s about Believing.
In our latest message series we’re talking about “Believing For Things Unseen in 2015.” We just finished the first part of this series on how prayer changes things. Prayer is shown all throughout scripture as being an important part of the believer’s life. We have a God that wants that direct interaction with his people and Paul would go on and say to “pray without stopping.” So I challenge you in 2015 to bring a need to our heavenly Father like a child would bring a request to his caring father. Jesus says we have NOT because we ask NOT. Even our Lord and Savior prayed a lot to the Father.
Just before he would be arrested in John 17, He prays a prayer that many say is the greatest prayer ever prayed. His request is for the Disciples who he has chosen that they will be with Him and God. And the next request he was believing for was for all believers that they would one day be in heaven too. It’s a powerful read if you have the time. To think that Jesus with all that was going on before his crucifixion he remembers us. He wants our presence with Him in Heaven. So come out and hear this current message series through March. I know it’s going to have a big impact on your daily life.
